A Lonely Celebration
This deer has found a fireworks show. The loud noises and bright lights could surprise him, but maybe he's just as enthusiastic as we are when we witness fireworks. People use them for a lot of different things, such celebrating New Year's Eve and Independence Day. The deer could have wanted to join in on the fun.
Deer can see fireworks from a long way away because they have good eyesight. But they might not see it the same way we do because they can't see colors well. They might not be able to see bright colors. They are more sensitive to blue and green.
The Mountain Lion’s Favorite
A deer that meets a mountain lion is done for. Mountain lions mainly eat deer, which is their main source of food. We can't see their motions because it's a picture, but we can tell that a high-speed chase is going on. It's interesting that even the bigger deer can run very rapidly. They go faster than the mountain lion.
The lion, on the other hand, nonetheless catches and kills it, even though it is slower. That's because the deer can run faster, but only for a short time. They win because mountain lions are strong and can last a long time.
