And although if the kinds of condiments people use vary from country to country, you can get hot dogs at grocery shops and restaurants in most places. However, this is not the situation in the United Arab Emirates. A research from 2014 found that 14% of school-age kids were overweight, therefore schools decided to stop serving hot dogs.  

Schools now try to give their pupils food that is good for them instead of hot dogs that are full of sodium, fat, and processed meat. They also said no to crisps and soda.
