Everyday Foods That Aren't Sold in Other Countries

Durian Fruit

Not for sale in: Singapore Why? The strong smell Most countries urge their people to consume more fruits and vegetables since they are good for them. And while fruits and vegetables are very significant in Singapore, it will be hard to buy a durian fruit with the rest of your shopping. That's because durian fruit is different from strawberries and apples. Because of its strong stench, it has earned the epithet "the smelliest fruit."

Some people believe that a durian fruit smells like a mix of decaying onions, sulfur, honey, and sewage. This is why the government of Singapore doesn't want this thing on the streets.
