  Not for sale in: The UK and New Zealand Why? There could be a lot of bacteria. What do you prefer on your burgers? Well done? Medium? Medium-rare? A lot of people in the U.S. also like to eat a rare burger with their choice of toppings. certain people are disgusted by the sight of blood pouring from the burger, but it looks like certain countries have gone even farther and banned rare burgers from their establishments.  

It's against the law to sell rare burgers in New Zealand and some parts of the UK because the meat may have bacteria that could make you sick. They don't want to make anyone sick, so they cook their burgers for a little longer than you might prefer.
