Here's a small tip: in humid places, just opening the window might not be enough. You will need a towel and some cold water first. Just put the towel in a cold bath and let it soak. Next, put the wet towel over the edge of the window. The towel will chill it off when the wind blows.

Don't hang the towel too far out, and make sure the window is open just a little. Fold it over a few times and put it on the inner windowsill if you can.
