Japanese Ceremonies Require Flexibility

In Japan, there is a specific way to sit called "seiza." If you've ever seen a movie or TV show If you've ever seen a show set in Japan, you've probably seen someone sitting like this. It basically means you have to sit on your legs with your back upright. As you might expect, it takes some practice for foreigners to get the hang of seiza, since you need to be able to bend your body a little bit to do it well.

You can also cross your legs in front of you if you want. But it can also be hard to do it without being a little flexible.
