In Japan, Christmas is a little different than it is in the West. That might have something to do with the fact that Christianity isn't as popular in Japan. But people still celebrate the holiday. It looks a lot more like what we think of when we think of Valentine's Day. Couples frequently go to their favorite restaurant and then give each other gifts. In Japan, people don't give gifts to family on Christmas.
