This Giant Hand in the Woods

Picture yourself taking a beautiful walk in the woods and then running into your own fear. Sadly, the tallest tree in all of Wales had to be cut down because a storm destroyed it. Natural Resource Wales, on the other hand, didn't want to see all that history and life go to waste. So they hired an artist to turn the tree into a sculpture. This is where Simon O'Rourke, an artist, came in. "The Giants of Vyrnwy" was the name of the woodlands that inspired him.

He then chose to carve this massive tree into a huge, scary hand that comes out of the ground to represent the tree giant and its last effort to reach the sky. This is great work, yet it makes us feel nervous!
