This Giant Warriors Statue Stands Even Taller Than Initially Intended

This huge statue of the deified Chinese general Guan Yu is the subject of a humorous narrative. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development told the statue to move from its spot in Jinghzou, China, in 2020. Why? At the start of the project, the artists were only allowed to make a figure that was up to 15 meters tall. They were simply intended to make the base, though. The giant, on the other hand, is 58 meters tall and weighs more than 1,197 tons.

It needs steel framing and reinforced concrete to stand up its weight. The statue is so big that the ground underneath it started to sink because of its weight!
