If Someone Sits in the Taxicab's Front Seat, They're Probably American

If you're from the United States, you know that when you take a taxi, the person in the back seat is usually the one who is alone. You should only go to the front seat if you're with a lot of people and all three back seats are full. But in some other nations, not sitting in the front seat can be seen as very rude.

If you choose to sit in the back of the taxi instead than the front, the driver will think you're a bit snobby. Once they find out you're American, they might be more understanding.
