Alex Lifeson – Age 69 – Born in Fernie, Canada
Alex Lifeson is a Canadian musician, best known as the guitarist for the band Rush. In the summer of 1968, he and John Rutsey, who used to play drums for Rush, started the band. In the first few months of 1971, Lifeson made his first appearance on screen in "Come on Children," a documentary directed by Allan King of Canada that used just the names of the cast.
A part of the movie was included in the documentary "Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage" decades later. In it, Lifeson fights with his parents as an adolescent over his dreams of being a professional guitarist. He was back on our screens in 2021, playing himself in two episodes of "Trailer Park Boys: Jail."
