Bruce Cockburn – Age 77 – Born in Ottawa, Canada

Bruce Cockburn is a well-known Canadian musician, songwriter, guitarist, and activist. He is best renowned for his music, which mixed folk, rock, pop, and jazz lyrics. His songs often talked with religious themes and social problems from a politically contentious point of view. He put out his debut record album under his own name in 1970. Golden Mountain Song, a music production firm that Cockburn co-founded with Canadian music producer Bernie Finkelstein, made it.

More than 20 musicians, like as Judy Collins, Jimmy Buffett, Chet Atkins, and many others from the United States, have recorded songs by Cockburn. "Celebrating Greatness," a Canadian TV program from 2021, was the last time he was on screen.

Bernie Finkelstein has been a big part of Canada's music industry for more than 40 years. He created True North Records, which sold more than 40 gold and platinum records. He has also won more than 40 Juno Awards and was awarded by The Finkelstein Management Corporation in 1969. People know Bernie for assisting musicians like Murray McLauchlan, Barney Bentall, Dan Hill, and Blackie & The Rodeo Kings get their careers off the ground. He also helped start MuchFACT in 1984 with the cooperation of MuchMusic and MuchMore to help Canadian musicians. Since then, this group has helped several musicians, including Arcade Fire, get their careers off the ground.
