Brian Johnson is a Canadian writer, filmmaker, and well-known expert on modern culture. He worked for Maclean's magazine for almost 30 years as a cinema critic and senior arts writer. He is still a contributing editor there as of 2022.

The national superstar also founded the TFCA Awards Gala, which gives out the $100,000 Rogers Best Canadian Film Award every year. From 2006 to 2017, he was president of the Toronto Film Critics Association. He also paid for the Canadian poet movie "Al Purdy Was Here," which came out in 2015 and was nominated for the TIFF Grolsch People's Choice Documentary Award.

Brenda Blethyn – Age 77 – Born in Ramsgate, United Kingdom

Fans of Brenda Blethyn were already looking forward to her next project when her hit show "Vera" ended in 2022. Not many people know that Blethyn's first big movie role was a small part in the 1990 movie adaption of Roald Dahl's "The Witches," which was directed by Nicolas Roeg. Blethyn's big break came when she starred in Mike Leigh's 1996 film "Secrets & Lies." She won and was nominated for many awards for her performance. These awards were the Academy Award, the Golden Globe Award, the British Academy Film Award, and the Cannes Film Festival's Best Actress award.
