Many people think of Halloween when they think of walking around a neighborhood with a bag, knocking on doors, and asking for candy. In Tajikistan, kids do something similar, but for different reasons. During Ramadan, kids dress up in their best clothes and knock on doors to spread joy, sing songs, and collect gifts from their friends and family. As you can imagine, this is a very popular Ramadan tradition.

When they can finally eat again, the Muslims of Tajikistan usually drink their favorite drink, which is a mix of tea and milk. They also consume a lot of traditional Ramadan foods to replenish their tummies before they fast again.
